Now I’ve bought a new 27″ iMac I’ve decided it’s time to sell my dual processor PowerMac G5. It’s still a really capable machine, especially since I’ve upgraded from the original 512MB of RAM to the maximum possible, 4GB.
I’m selling my T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream in average condition. There’s some scratches on the screen, and the camera mirror at the back is cracked, but this does not affect its usability at all. It runs the popular Android operating system, so you can browse the internet, send and receive email, and install applications from the Android market including Facebook, Skype, Photoshop Mobile, and Google Maps. It even works with Google Navigation, which turns the phone into a super useful sat-nav unit! My favourite feature, that I really miss on my new phone, is that this has a proper slide out QWERTY keyboard. It’s really fast and easy to type out long emails.
It comes in its original box, complete with all bundled accessories; soft case, manuals, USB cable, CD, charger and a huge aftermarket Sandisk 8GB memory card. I carefully modified the bundled earphones to make an adapter so you can use your own earphones with the phone, and it works great for music with an application like Spotify.
The winning bidder can choose between the standard operating system installed on the phone, or, at no cost, I’ll install the latest Android 2.2 update from Cyanogen for extra features over standard.
Please note this phone is currently locked to the T-Mobile network, but can be easily unlocked to any UK network for a small charge.
